"The meeting called by Saudi Arabia to try to contain the latest developments in Yemen is aimed at legalizing the coup in Aden," said Tawakkol Karman, the Nobel Peace Prize laureate.
In the second part of her special interview with Araby 21, Karman called on the legitimate government to refuse to "engage in dialogue that would legitimize its rebellion and overthrow the Yemeni state."
"It is time to break free from the treacherous alliance. Legitimacy will not be able to confront the coups (Houthi in Sanaa, transitional in Aden) if it does not first rise against Saudi tutelage, cut relations with the UAE and expel it from Yemen."
"Those who still believe that Saudi Arabia will support legitimacy are deceiving themselves and are afraid to tell the truth," Karman said.
“I am not with those who say there is a Saudi-Emirati dispute, '' she said. “They assert that their policy is the same in Yemen, they exchange roles and work together to destroy Yemen and undermine its national entity.''
