Human rights activist and Nobel Peace Prize laureate Tawakkol Karman welcomed the decisions issued by the Saudi Council of Ministers, particularly its reaffirmation of the call for the withdrawal of Emirati forces from Yemen in response to a request by the Yemeni president within a 24-hour timeframe.

She also welcomed the decision to suspend all military and financial support to any party operating inside Yemen, especially the Southern Transitional Council or any other armed group, viewing the move as a significant step toward de-escalation.

Karman further noted that the decisions underscored respect for Yemen’s sovereignty, describing this principle as fundamental and deserving of recognition.
