Family members have been reported to be executed after unknown gunmen today broken into the home of Hassan Taha Fare’ in Taiz province.

BOGOTA (Thomson Reuters Foundation) - Yemeni Nobel Peace Prize laureate Tawakkol Karman said the world is turning a blind eye to the plight of millions of people suffering in her war-torn nation plagued by hunger and disease.

The youth have always been in the heart of major transformations, and are the cornerstone of the world’s development and peace, said Nobel Peace laureate and human rights defender, Tawakkol Karman, at the annual summit of “One Young World 2017 Bogotá” in Colombia. 

Nobel Peace Prize winner Tawakkol Karman said widespread corruption was among the most important reasons for sparking the Arab Spring, noting that easy access to information is vital for anticorruption.

Nobel Peace laureate and human rights activist, Tawakkol Karman, has stressed that peace can only be achieved through justice, noting that peace doesn’t mean only stopping wars, but also preventing oppression and injustice.
